PE Coated Greaseproof Paper for Fast-Food, Deli & Freezer Packaging
Dongguan Wise Packaging produces PE coated greaseproof paper with a polyethylene laminate that adds a moisture and grease barrier plus heat-sealability for formed packaging. The PE film makes the sheet ideal for hot, oily takeaway and deli applications where a plain greaseproof sheet would saturate. It pairs with our silicone coated line and the broader grease proof paper range.
What Is PE Coated Greaseproof Paper?
PE coated greaseproof paper is a grease-resistant base sheet laminated with a thin polyethylene film on one side. The film blocks oil and water and can be heat-sealed, which lets converters form pouches, wrappers and tray liners without a secondary barrier layer. The PE side is the barrier; the paper side keeps the familiar print and handling feel.
- One-side PE lamination for barrier and sealability
- Strong resistance to hot oil and greasy takeaway food
- Heat-sealable for formed wrappers and pouches
- Printable on the paper side with food-safe inks

Typical Applications
PE coated sheets are built for high-fat, high-moisture grab-and-go food. They hold up against fried items, saucy fillings and deli portions that would soak through plain paper, and the sealable edge supports simple formed packaging.
- Burger, sandwich and burrito wrap
- Deli counter trays and takeout portions
- Fried chicken and snack wrapping
- Frozen-food overwrap requiring a moisture barrier
Custom Printing & Branding
Print your logo or campaign artwork on the paper side with low-migration inks. We proof colors before production to protect brand consistency across batches.
- Flexographic printing up to 6 colors
- Low-migration inks for indirect food contact
- Custom roll width and sheet size
- MOQ from 500 reams for printed orders
Is PE coated paper compostable?
The polyethylene layer is a plastic film, so PE coated paper is not readily compostable in the same way as uncoated paper. For a compostable route, discuss our uncoated or silicone coated options instead.
Can PE coated paper be heat sealed?
Yes. The PE side is heat-sealable, which is why it is widely used for formed wrappers and tray liners in takeaway and deli packaging.
What grammage should I choose?
Lighter 40–50 gsm suits wrap-and-go items; 60–80 gsm suits heavier or saucier portions. Share your application and we will recommend a grammage.
